Learn How to Edit Wikipedia In-Person
You've probably referred to Wikipedia for answers, but did you know you can contribute to Wikipedia to make it an even better resource? Join librarians from the Rochester Institute of Technology for a hands-on workshop about this free online encyclopedia. First, you'll learn about Wikipedia's core principles and how biases can manifest. Then, instructors will help you create an editor account and guide you through a series of activities to make real edits to live entries - making you an official Wikipedian! For individuals ages 16 and older with basic computer skills (e.g. typing, navigating the internet). Please bring your own laptop or tablet.
