Sandra Day O'Connor: First Female Justice of the Supreme Court In-Person
The first female justice on the U.S. Supreme Court, Sandra Day O'Connor, was raised on a ranch in Arizona. This upbringing helped to develop her confidence and self-assurance when she reached the Supreme Court. Growing up in an America where most women were expected to become a housewife, O'Connor instead became an important voice on the court. Join us as MCC Professor of History Mark Sample tells her story and some of the court cases she was involved with.
